There are many debates about what is art and what is not, and even more debates trying to establish what is the difference between art and design, what is the boundary between these two disciplines. Both have an aesthetic refinement, but the feature that differentiates them most is the absence of functionality in an artistic work, a functionality that, instead, becomes fundamental in a design object, created and designed to satisfy any need, improving the quality of life.Sono molti i dibattiti su ciò che sia arte e ciò che non lo sia, e ancor più sono quelli che tentano di stabilire quale sia la differenza tra l’arte e il design, quale sia il confine tra queste due discipline. Entrambi hanno una ricercatezza dal punto di vista estetico, ma la particolarità che più le differenzia è l’assenza di funzionalità in un’opera artistica, funzionalità che, invece, diventa fondamentale in un oggetto di design, creato e disegnato per soddisfare una qualsiasi necessità, migliorando la qualità della vita
